The conference series on China-U.S. relations has become a tremendous success because of the strength of the conference program and the caliber of speakers and attendees. Representatives from China and the United States have made great progress in furthering collaboration and research between the two countries since the first conference in 2003. At the second and third conferences in Beijing in 2005 and Washington, D.C. in 2007, these existing collaborations were strengthened and new relationships were established.
